Aboitiz Foundation banners LCF Expo, shares initiatives on driving change for a better world

Inspired by its purpose of driving change for a better world, the Aboitiz Group’s CSR Expo delegation, led by the Aboitiz Foundation, commits to take the lead in developing more innovative and inclusive business models within the Aboitiz Business Units (BUs). These models will be designed to disrupt traditional business principles, and break systems, practices, and processes towards creating integrated value for both the Aboitiz Group’s businesses and their respective assisted communities.

“We in the Aboitiz Group are more aggressive to shift our strategies and mindset, and create synergy among all our Business Units. In the coming months, we will implement more develop projects that are aligned with our core businesses in power, infrastructure, construction, banking, and food. We are passionate to find better ways of doing business towards co-creating communities that are safe, empowered, and sustainable.”

-Maribeth Marasigan, First Vice President and COO, Aboitiz Foundation

The Aboitiz Foundation topped its interactive exhibit on the Pawikan campaign during the League of Corporate Foundations’ (LCF) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expo last year with this year’s large three-dimensional book. This 3D book showcased some of the Aboitiz Foundation’s CSR projects that aim to co-create safe, empowered, and sustainable communities. These projects are implemented through 32 Aboitiz BUs nationwide that are assisted by the Aboitiz Foundation in terms of program development and management, and capacity building. In 2016, the Aboitiz Group has implemented 1,446 projects, benefitting a total of 461,893 individuals through projects in education, enterprise development, environment, and health and wellbeing.

Also part of the exhibit is the Snap N’ Doodle, where the booth visitors took a photo of the planet, finished the artwork using their mobile applications, and uploaded it on their social media accounts. The #ICAREforMARAWI campaign was also highlighted in the exhibit. Booth visitors who donated to the #ICAREforMARAWI campaign were given High Energy Biscuits from Pilmico.

The LCF CSR Expo Exhibit was set up at the Activity Center of Glorietta 2 on July 19 and 20, 2017.
