APRI grants 130 Tiwi SSES scholars with learning kits

More than 130 Special Science Elementary School (SSES) scholars from Grades 1 to 4 in Tiwi Central School received their complete set of learning kits from AP Renewables, Inc. (APRI) and Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.

The learning kits include various school supplies and a customized AboitizPower scholar’s bag.

During the turnover program on July 18, the SSES scholars performed various dance presentations and delivered messages of gratitude to APRI.

“We thank APRI and Aboitiz Foundation for continuously providing our needs. We will treasure your support in achieving our dreams.”

-Loureze Gabrielle Briagas, Grade IV SSES scholar

Every year, since the SSES Program started in 2014, the students have been receiving uniforms and complete school supplies.

Meanwhile, SSES teachers are also equipped with training and learning tools such as a laptop, printer, and projector.

APRI’s SSES program supports the Department of Education’s goal of equipping students with the scientific and technological knowledge, skills and attitudes, creative and positive values, and lifelong learning skills to become productive partners in the development of the community and society.

The Tiwi Central School is the only public school offering a special science curriculum to students from the 25 barangays of the Municipality of Tiwi.

“APRI envisions a community that is empowered and sustainable. This SSES program of APRI aims to nurture students and build a better world for future generations.”
