A-Clubs in Focus: Musik-A’s Cause for Melodies

Amy Chua | June 13, 2018

The sound of a live band playing as the crowd sings and cheers…in the office. This was definitely not your usual Friday night scene but the lively festivities were matched only by a genuine warmth filling the air as A-People spent their ‘overtime’ to enjoy music and raise funds for a worthy cause.

Musik-A performs songs of the 90s at Overtime (Volume 1).

Musik-A, the A-Club for music lovers, takes pride in being part of a company that empowers its team members to create fun, worthwhile moments while imbibing the values of teamwork and responsibility.

For its first activity, the group held a fundraising mini-concert on June 1st entitled “Overtime (Volume 1)”. Held at the a.Lab, the program featured club members performing pop favorites from the 90s, with special guests the AP Band (composed of AboitizPower team members), Alki Dignos from “Tawag ng Tanghalan sa Showtime”, and actor Will Devaughn as host.

The audience, which was a mix of NAC-based team members, went all-out in their appreciation of every song number. The power of music and the spirit of caring made the Friday ‘overtime’ meaningful for A-People as the event raised PHP70,900, which was turned over and matched by Aboitiz Foundation for the Christmas Outreach in December. Now, who wouldn’t love working in a fun and caring environment such as this?
