Davao Light welcomes Tugbok GK Village kids back to school

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. conducted an outreach program last June 2, 2017 for the children in Gawad Kalinga Village, Los Amigos Tugbok District, Davao City.

A total of 65 beneficiaries ranging from 4-10 years old have received a school supply kit. This kit consists basic school supplies such as ballpen, notebook, pencil, eraser, sharpener, crayon and ruler. The Davao Light employees under the Shared Services, Utility Economics, Operational Risk Management and Revenue Management Departments were present to distribute the school supplies to the kid-beneficiaries. The money that was used to buy these supplies was out of the employees’ own pocket.

The kids went home with glee having their new set of school supplies just in time before the start of another school year.
