With a spring in their step, PETNET team members flocked to both Kapitan Eddie Integrated School and Pateros Elementary School on May 18, 2019 to be part of the Aboitiz Group’s 11th Brigada Eskwela.
The volunteers helped in gardening the lawn, painting murals, and covering textbooks.
“It was a whole new level of fulfillment to be a part of this initiative, to be part of something bigger than ourselves. I’m thankful to PETNET [for giving me] a chance to participate in this activity [with the main purpose being] the improvement of the youth’s education quality. I’m excited to get more involved in these kinds of programs,” Mhica Marcial, PETNET HR Assistant, shared.
Dedicated to living up to its core values, PETNET continues to innovate ways and maximize its resources to fulfill its responsibility of elevating the lives of the Filipino community.
Brigada Eskwela is an annual initiative by DepEd wherein the community is encouraged to participate in activities to improve school facilities ahead of the opening of a new academic year.
