The Aboitiz Group’s resource consumption for the first four months of 2018 continues to show our units’ steady growth, with figures driven by their respective business needs and the rollout of certain projects and strategies.
Aboitiz Business Units’ Resource Consumption
*2017 data for APDU and UnionBank is an estimate derived by dividing full-year data by the number of months.
*Power and Water data for 2018 excludes UnionBank Plaza.
*Power and Water data for 2018 excludes SacaSun and some of Hedcor’s facilities. Power data for 2018 also only includes some units from Oil, SNAP and APDU.
*Paper data for Power only includes selected facilities, while 2018 Paper data for Banking only includes submission from CitySavings. UnionBank paper consumption will be available at year-end. AboitizLand began reporting its office paper consumption in 2018.
Power + Water
Power and water consumption increase for the Food group can be attributed to the capacity increase that happened later in 2017, as well as the increase in Food’s water reporting scope. Power and water consumption increase for Land in January to February 2018 is attributable to more employees stationed in Ore building and the start of the construction phase for the involved project sites. The subsequent decrease in Land’s water consumption for March 2018 reflects the company’s project stage during that month.
Paper consumption decrease for the Food group can be attributed to the paperless drive enforced beginning February 2017.
As improvements in data consolidation and recording take place throughout our operations, keeping track of the Group’s power, water, and paper usage translate to our overall thrust for conscious consumption and resource efficiency.
