Volunteers from the Aboitiz group joined the annual service marathon (Servathon) organized by Hands On Manila on Saturday, September 23 at the Philippine International Convention Center.

Servathon 2017, with the theme “Mobilizing Manila for Hope in Mindanao,” gathered company volunteers who assembled kits containing basic necessities for communities in Mindanao. The Aboitiz Group volunteers assembled sleeping kits, which were turned over by Hands On Manila to the International Care Ministries (ICM) and Community and Family Services International. Over 1,000 volunteers from various companies participated in the Servathon 2017.

“A lot of care and study went into the design of these kits: mosquito trap, care package, sleeping kit, and mobile learning kit. We can imagine the joy they can experience when they learn about the work we all put into making these special kits. Thank you for waking up so early on a Saturday morning, but it’s a small sacrifice on our part just to show that we care about our brothers and sisters in Mindanao. Thank you to your employers for engaging you to be part of such a worthwhile cause.”
