Aboitiz Foundation, in partnership with Philippine Red Cross, provided 765 blankets for more than 700 families who were displaced after the recent fire incident in Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City.
“We are very lucky to have the Aboitiz Foundation as our partner in our relief efforts. As a starting branch, there is a lot of pressure to provide service, but your generosity greatly helps us to deliver assistance and comfort to the affected families, especially to the kids and infants,” Julian Beato Philippine Red Cross Taguig Administrator, expressed.
“Ako ay nagpapasalamat dahil malaki bagay ang naitutulong ninyo sa amin. Hindi po madali bumangon pero ako ay nagpapasalamat sa Panginoon dahil binigyan kami ng anghel na kagaya ninyo na tumutulong sa amin. Pagpalain kayo ng Panginoon. (I am thankful because your help is a big thing for us. It is not easy to bounce back but we are grateful to the Lord because He gave us angels like you who help us),” Lola Filda Lawis shared.
To date, the Aboitiz Group has helped more than 234,000 families in terms of relief assistance. It has been implementing projects that are designed to reduce future similar incidents through the Aboitiz Foundation’s community-based disaster risk reduction management program, which will soon be rolled out to various communities nationwide.
This initiative is aligned with the Aboitiz Foundation’s promise of advancing business and communities by co-creating safe, empowered, and sustainable communities.
